"By 2014, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin will have sold enough of their stock to give up majority control of the company, Google announced Friday evening". So, is this the beginning of a new era for Google? Is this where they stop playing nice and start thinking about more profits?

Obama is reining in Wall Street in a populist move. But that has yet to be approved in Congress. Wall Street, in response tumble. Perhaps Wall Street is selling to put pressure more on Congress? If this theory is correct, expect to see more selling pressure in the coming days.

Bill Gates could foresee that Kodak was toast since 1991. But if you shorted Kodak in 1991, you will be toast. Eventually, Kodak stock price was toast. This is an example where business knowledge does not necessarily translate in trading profits.

Goldman Sach's made an interesting statistic: "An interesting statistic revealed last week is that in the nine months to September, net domestic US equity flows were about zero. That just means for every dollar value of stock bought, the same dollar value of stock has been sold in 2009 to date. That might seem strange, given the S&P 500 rallied 65% from its lows, but then it's only up 18% for 2009 - on low volume."
